About the job Freelance DevOps Engineer (Remote / EU) – High-Growth B2B SaaS Platform We are working with a fast-scaling B2B SaaS company operating in the industrial technology space. The platform supports complex operational planning and data-driven decision-making for enterprise clients across Europe and beyond. We are currently looking for a freelance DevOps Engineer to help strengthen and scale our cloud infrastructure, improve deployment workflows, and support the reliability of a rapidly growing platform. About the environment You will be working with a modern, cloud-based SaaS product that sits at the intersection of: Enterprise system integrations Data-heavy backend services API-driven architecture Complex B2B customer environments The platform is already in production with active customers and is currently entering a high-growth scaling phase, where reliability, automation, and operational maturity are becoming critical. What you will be doing You will act as a key freelance DevOps partner, helping with: Cloud & Infrastructure Improve and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP environment) Support scaling of services as customer usage grows Implement infrastructure-as-code where needed CI/CD & Deployments Optimise and stabilise deployment pipelines Improve release processes and rollback strategies Reduce friction between development and production environments Observability & Reliability Strengthen logging, monitoring, and alerting systems Improve system visibility and incident response processes Help define reliability standards for production services Platform & Integration Support Support stability of API-driven integrations with external enterprise systems Improve resilience of data flows and backend processes Help ensure consistent behaviour across environments Operational Maturity Contribute to improving security practices (access control, secrets, etc.) Support best practices for scaling SaaS operations in an enterprise context What we are looking for Strong experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering / SRE roles Solid background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation Familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes or similar) Strong understanding of observability tooling (logging, metrics, alerting) Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, product-focused environment Pragmatic mindset — focused on reliability, scalability, and delivery speed Nice to have Experience in SaaS B2B environments Exposure to ERP or enterprise system integrations Experience in scaling early-stage or growth-stage platforms Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, etc.) Experience with data-heavy or event-driven architectures What makes this interesting You will be working on a real, production-scale SaaS platform, not a greenfield setup High-impact role with direct influence on stability and scaling decisions Opportunity to shape DevOps foundations during a key growth phase Close collaboration with engineering and product teams Flexible freelance engagement (remote within EU time zones preferred) Engagement Freelance / contract role Remote (EU time zones preferred) Flexible scope depending on experience and availability Start: immediate or short notice preferred Ideal mindset We are looking for someone who enjoys: “Making complex systems boring, stable, and scalable so product teams can move fast without fear.”
