DevOps / Cloud Engineer (AWS)
We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join our team and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, high‑performance cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role combines infrastructure engineering, automation, CI/CD, container orchestration, and performance optimization in modern cloud environments.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure
Manage web application hosting and delivery (web and application servers, browser optimization, caching and invalidation strategies, HTTP routing, API Gateway configuration)
Support JVM-based applications, including hosting, monitoring, and performance optimization (AEM experience is highly beneficial)
Implement and enhance observability using OpenTelemetry (tracing, metrics, logs)
Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CDK
Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates with version-controlled configurations
Build, extend, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Develop, update, and maintain Jenkins Shared Libraries written in Groovy
Manage containerized applications using Docker
Set up and maintain OpenShift / Kubernetes environments (EKS) and/or ECS clusters
Automate container builds, deployments, rollbacks, and release processes
Manage releases across environments and mitigate deployment risks
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure
Monitor and troubleshoot systems using CloudWatch Metrics and Logs, X-Ray, Lambda Insights, and RDS Performance Insights
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, AWS CDK)
Solid knowledge of CI/CD practices, especially Jenkins (including Shared Libraries) and GitHub Actions
Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS)
Good understanding of TypeScript (used for Lambda development and serverless frameworks)
General understanding of Java and web development processes
Knowledge of networking concepts within and outside AWS, including performance optimization (e.g. CDNs)
Ability to work independently, analyze complex problems, and propose effective solutions
