You will join our Digital Operations (DIOP) Product Line as a Database Reliability Engineer, acting as the main database technical focal point for our application landscape. You will work closely with the Hybrid Cloud ODE Team (database infrastructure team) on database lifecycle management, patching, upgrade, VM Blueprints, Database over OpenShift, automation, monitoring, audit, and troubleshooting. You will also support the maintenance, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the databases used by our applications, including MongoDB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, CouchDB, Redis, and Kafka. The position is fully Remote.
Your Missions
Serve as the main technical focal point for database-related topics within the application landscape
Collaborate with the Hybrid Cloud ODE Team on database lifecycle management, including patching, upgrades, and VM Blueprints
Oversee deployment and management of databases over OpenShift environments
Drive automation initiatives for database operations and maintenance
Monitor database performance, reliability, and availability, implementing improvements as needed
Conduct audits and ensure compliance with security and operational standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues across multiple technologies (MongoDB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, CouchDB, Redis, Kafka)
Support continuous improvement initiatives for database infrastructure and processes
Your Profile
Experience in database reliability engineering or similar roles (5+ years)
Proficiency with OpenShift and troubleshooting complex database environments
Experience with database lifecycle management, automation, and monitoring tools
Strong knowledge of MongoDB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, CouchDB, Redis, and Kafka
Experience with hybrid cloud environments and VM Blueprints
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
English fluent. Additional languages are a plus.
