About the job Join a fast-growing AI startup in Switzerland that is building secure AI infrastructure for critical environments. They are looking to hire a Chief Technology Officer to lead the company’s technology strategy, platform architecture, and engineering organisation as they scale their AI platform across Europe. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with the CEO, Product, and Security teams to build and operate enterprise-grade AI systems focused on scalability, reliability, and data. Key responsibilities: Defining and executing the company’s technology roadmap and architecture Leading infrastructure, platform engineering, and AI operations Owning security, scalability, reliability, and compliance across the platform Overseeing AI hosting, RAG workloads, chat systems, and multi-tenant infrastructure Establishing best practices across DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response Leading and scaling the engineering organisation Supporting customer engagements, technical pre-sales, and strategic partnerships Requirements: Proven experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or senior technical leader within a high-growth startup technology business Strong background in AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, and distributed systems Experience working with LLMs, platform engineering, and scalable AI systems Strong understanding of security architecture, DevOps, and operational reliability Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities Comfortable operating within a fast-paced startup environment Fluent German and English Additional information: Permanent position Zurich with a hybrid working model Opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a growing AI business High-impact environment working on cutting-edge AI infrastructure and products This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technology leader who wants to build and scale secure, enterprise-grade AI systems within a business operating at the forefront of AI infrastructure.
