About The Role The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer plays a vital role within the MIS department, reporting directly to the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure. This position is responsible for designing, administering, maintaining, analyzing, and troubleshooting core systems that include cloud platforms, virtualization environments, servers, storage, networks, endpoints, and directory services. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with IPG’s security standards and those of cloud providers, managing both cloud and on-premise infrastructure to support business operations effectively. This role involves deploying and supporting various cloud services such as IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS, as well as migrating workloads to Azure. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will also provide technical leadership, support, and training to teams, ensuring optimal performance and security of the entire infrastructure. This is a remote position requiring a highly self-motivated individual capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 4-7 years of experience in cloud administration and infrastructure management. Strong working knowledge of Azure architecture, migration strategies, and Azure CLI, PowerShell/Azure PowerShell, and Azure Portal. Experience with virtualization technologies, server management, and network infrastructure. Proficiency with IT automation tools such as Ansible. Knowledge of additional cloud technologies including Endpoint, API Management, and Identity Management. Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2025, and Microsoft Active Directory. Familiarity with vulnerability scanning solutions like Nessus and vulnerability remediation. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. Willingness to work after-hours, weekends, and travel as required. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud network infrastructure. Support and maintain cloud and on-premise server-based operating systems and hardware. Monitor physical network hardware and virtual compute environments to ensure maximum uptime and performance. Manage endpoint management systems including Intune and SCCM. Assist in migrating workloads from on-premise data centers to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption. Develop and maintain standards and process documentation for cloud and infrastructure management. Support the development of cost and risk models for cloud solutions, aiding decision-making processes. Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning, integrating cloud solutions where appropriate. Provide troubleshooting and technical support for network, server, and application performance issues. Actively stay current with industry developments in cloud technology, protocols, and standards. Serve as the primary resource for security and compliance of network and server infrastructure. Design highly complex cloud systems, providing technical leadership and guidance. Train support staff on new technologies and common system-related issues. Support vulnerability management efforts by scanning and resolving security vulnerabilities.
