About The Role HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in accelerating the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at an enterprise level, focusing on solution design, technical consulting, and pre-sales activities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with global sales teams, technical architects, and industry partners to craft compelling cloud solutions for clients across various sectors such as banking, retail, healthcare, and telecommunications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex cloud migration projects, develop innovative data and AI-driven solutions, and contribute to HCLTech’s growth in the cloud services domain. The role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving digital transformation initiatives for large-scale enterprise clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. 7+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 2-3 years focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency in GCP core services including compute, storage, and networking. Expertise in Data Engineering, especially with BigQuery, Looker, and enterprise data stacks. Fundamental understanding of AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Proven experience working with Global Systems Integrator (GSI) partners to build joint solutions and scale go-to-market strategies. Strong soft skills including executive presence, whiteboarding, and translating technical concepts into business value. Responsibilities Collaborate with global sales teams and Google Cloud Architects to respond to RFIs/RFPs and address customer requirements proactively. Develop ROI models and hyperscale funding strategies to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for cloud adoption. Design and lead technical workshops to create reference architectures for Data Center Migration & Modernization to GCP. Architect Google Cloud Native applications and enterprise-grade Data Engineering solutions utilizing BigQuery, Looker, and Vertex AI. Innovate and design AI solutions such as Gemini Enterprise Agentic AI and Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance enterprise IT Managed Services and cloud operations. Partner with GSI ecosystem to develop joint solutions, co-create go-to-market strategies, and scale cloud offerings. Leverage industry domain expertise to map value stream use cases in sectors like BFSI, RCPG, Telecom, Healthcare, and Manufacturing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to advise clients effectively.
