About The Role We are actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Trillion Technology Solutions. This critical role involves supporting, optimizing, and securing self-managed environments operating on SIPRNet across VMware and Azure platforms, hosted on RHEL servers within the Department of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The successful candidate will focus on automation, security hardening, Linux administration, and enhancing operational efficiency within a classified environment. This position requires an active Secret clearance and is based onsite at DISA Fort Meade, with a work schedule of five days per week. The Senior Cloud Engineer will play a vital role in maintaining mission-critical systems, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and compliant with all applicable DoD security standards, including STIGs, FedRAMP, and SCCA. Qualifications Active Secret Clearance is mandatory. Extensive experience with Linux system administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Proficiency in managing and securing Kubernetes clusters in high-security environments. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible for automated deployment and configuration management. Strong knowledge of DevSecOps tools including Jenkins, GitLab, and Nexus for continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Familiarity with DoD security frameworks, including STIGs, FedRAMP, and SCCA compliance standards. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate routine tasks and streamline operations. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to optimize workloads for security, cost, and performance. Responsibilities Maintain and optimize self-managed Kubernetes clusters hosted on SIPRNet, ensuring high availability and security. Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines. Enhance and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab, and Nexus to enable secure and efficient software delivery cycles. Implement security hardening measures in accordance with DoD standards, including applying STIGs and ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and SCCA guidelines. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux (RHEL) and cloud workloads to improve security posture, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop automation scripts and tools that streamline deployment and maintenance tasks. Ensure all systems and processes adhere to classified environment security policies and best practices. Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities as required. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance system security and operational capabilities.
