About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in accelerating project delivery by designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. Operating within a DevOps framework, you will lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring the deployment of reliable, secure, and scalable environments. Your expertise will help define and govern standards for cloud service consumption, while also supporting continuous improvement efforts through lifecycle management and evaluation of emerging GCP features. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure development, with a strong focus on GCP foundation services including compute, networking, storage, security, and automation. You should have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, and a proven track record of deploying large-scale enterprise infrastructure solutions. Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, YAML, and PowerShell are essential. Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer are highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability to rapidly evolving cloud technologies and possess a deep understanding of enterprise cloud environments. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, primarily leveraging Terraform integrated into automated CI/CD pipelines. Develop, document, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for secure and compliant consumption of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services across GCP. Configure and deploy highly available Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments, including Shared VPCs and cloud compute instances, to support enterprise workloads. Collaborate with Network Security Operations (NetSecOps) and the CISO team to embed security policies into automated infrastructure templates, ensuring compliance and security automation. Manage cloud platform users, organizations, groups, and access controls in alignment with IAM team requirements to maintain strict security standards. Design and implement comprehensive observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and reporting systems, to ensure platform health and operational visibility. Evaluate emerging GCP features and advocate for their adoption to enhance platform capabilities and support migration strategies. Serve as the Tier-2 escalation point for complex incidents, providing rapid diagnosis and resolution of cloud system issues. Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call schedule to deliver continuous support, system monitoring, and incident response for production environments. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing technical guidance and updates on cloud infrastructure projects and initiatives.
