Charity Manager - Volunteer

About the job We're looking for a proactive volunteer to help run and grow our mental health charity. You could help with social media, partnerships, GDPR compliance and volunteer coordination, depending on your experience and helping us reach more children, young people and families across the UK. We are looking for a proactive, organised and enthusiastic volunteer who enjoys helping organisations grow and making things happen. This is a varied role, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working across different areas and taking the initiative. Essential Qualities And Experience Excellent organisational and project coordination skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with volunteers, partners and stakeholders. The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage competing demands. A practical, problem-solving approach and a willingness to take ownership of tasks. Good digital skills and confidence using common online tools such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. A commitment to the values of equality, inclusion and improving mental health outcomes. Desirable Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial, although applicants do not need experience in all of them Volunteer recruitment or management. Project or programme management. Social media, communications or digital marketing. Business development, partnership working or stakeholder engagement. Working with universities, NHS organisations, local authorities or housing associations. Governance, GDPR or charity compliance. Website or digital product management. Remote What will you be doing? Miricyl is a Scottish mental health charity dedicated to helping children, young people and families find trusted information, self-help resources and support services. We are developing an innovative digital platform that brings together evidence-based mental health resources in one place, making it easier for people to find the support they need. We are looking for a proactive Volunteer Operations & Partnerships Manager to help coordinate and grow the charity. Working closely with the founder, you'll play a key role in shaping the organisation as we expand our reach and develop partnerships across the UK. Your responsibilities will include, depending on your skills, coordinating volunteers and projects, supporting our social media activity, helping ensure good governance and GDPR compliance, developing relationships with universities, NHS organisations, housing associations and other partners, and helping oversee external website developers and volunteers. You'll also identify opportunities to improve how the charity operates and help turn ideas into action. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. It would suit someone who enjoys organising people, managing projects, building relationships and making a real difference. In return, you'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of a growing charity and help improve access to mental health support for children, young people and families.
