About the job Job Title: AWS Sr. Cloud Engineer (Senior AWS Infrastructure & Container Engineer) Location: Columbus, OH Work Arrangement: Onsite Employment Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6+ months Hourly Rate: $45.89/hr. on W2 OR $55.40/hr. on C2C Domain: Financial Services | Cloud Engineering Application Deadline: August 28, 2026 SKILLS REQUIRED Primary (Must-Have): ✔️Overall AWS Infrastructure & Services: 5+ years of production-level experience. ✔️Infrastructure as Code (IaC): 3+ years of advanced automation experience utilizing Terraform. ✔️Container Orchestration: 2+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS ECS and EKS (EC2/Fargate). ✔️CI/CD Pipelines: 2+ years of expert-level experience deploying with Jenkins and Spinnaker. ✔️Enterprise Observability: Professional experience utilizing Splunk (1+ years) and Dynatrace (1+ years) for telemetry. Secondary (Good to Have): ✔️Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments (e.g., Financial Services, Banking). ✔️Deep understanding of IAM roles, security compliance, and network integrations (ALB/NLB, VPC architectures). ✔️Familiarity with sidecar-based collection patterns for microservices telemetry. ✔️Strong troubleshooting skills related to environment consistency and controlled rollout deployment strategies. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an elite Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our infrastructure team onsite in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, operating, and governing enterprise-grade container platforms. As a senior architect of cloud infrastructure, you will develop standardized infrastructure-as-code patterns, engineer robust CI/CD pipelines, and deploy comprehensive end-to-end monitoring solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to accelerate secure, scalable, and resilient cloud transformations. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES ✔️Build and operate next-generation container platforms using Amazon ECS/EKS (both EC2 and Fargate), including the management of clusters, services, task definitions, autoscaling, IAM roles, and ALB/NLB integrations. ✔️Architect and manage modern deployment strategies, designing seamless blue/green deployments and controlled rollouts equipped with bulletproof rollback mechanisms to ensure continuous environment consistency. ✔️Create, version, and govern reusable Terraform modules and enterprise patterns to deliver consistent provisioning across VPCs, IAM, ECS, logging, monitoring, and shared services using remote state management. ✔️Standardize and manage comprehensive CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins for continuous integration and Spinnaker for continuous delivery, optimizing build, test, artifact promotion, and ECS deployment phases. ✔️Implement end-to-end cloud observability by designing dashboards, alerting rules, and SLO-style operational readiness workflows utilizing Dynatrace (APM, metrics, tracing) and Splunk (logging). ✔️Establish rigorous standards for telemetry collection (including sidecar-based patterns), ensuring operations and engineering teams can rapidly diagnose and remediate infrastructure or application issues.
