Associate Frontend Engineer
Mosaic Conseil · Rome, Latium, Italy
Remote
About the job
Mosaic Conseil serves as a focused remote workshop where we take business artifacts apart and put them back together. We do not produce slide decks or manage standing retainers. Instead, we work on specific files: three year plans, pricing grids, and diligence reports. We look at the evidence found in the invoice ledger and the physical network to ensure every line of a business model matches reality. Our current focus involves a significant project for a major Italian telecommunications provider, where we are rebuilding their internal pricing and network capacity models from the bottom up.
About Mosaic Conseil
We are a small, boutique firm and we intend to stay that way. By remaining small, we ensure that the person who builds the work is the same person who handles the technical discussions. We work in the fields of financial services, healthcare systems, industrial networks, and growing software companies. Everything we do is handled remotely, allowing us to maintain independence and focus on deep, analytical tasks rather than corporate theater.
Our workshop follows a specific methodology. Every piece of work we produce is handled by two people: one who builds the artifact and one who argues against it. This ensures that by the time a file is returned to a client, every assumption has been tested against a skeptical perspective. We return the same files you sent us, redrawn and supported by a written argument rather than a long meeting. Our work is intended to stand on its own, backed by a telephone number that answers for ninety days after a project concludes.
What you would do
As an Associate Frontend Engineer, you will translate complex business logic and financial models into functional web interfaces. Working on our current engagement with the Italian telecommunications sector, you will be responsible for creating clean, data heavy tools that help users see the relationship between network costs and customer billing. This is an entry level role where you will learn to build tools that prioritize utility and clarity over visual flair.
Your daily tasks will include:
Developing user interfaces for internal auditing tools using modern web technologies.
Translating static data models into interactive charts and grids that reflect real time changes.
Participating in our builder and challenger process by reviewing code and testing logic for fellow engineers.
Ensuring that the frontend logic matches the mathematical models developed by our analysts.
Writing documentation that explains how different components within the tool function.
Working with the rest of the team to fix bugs and refine the user experience based on direct feedback from the workshop.
Refining the presentation of ledger data so it is readable and actionable for the client.
Helpful background
We are looking for individuals who have a strong grasp of technical fundamentals and a curiosity about how businesses actually function. You do not need a long history of professional work, but you should be comfortable with the following:
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with a modern framework like React, Vue, or Svelte, even if through personal projects.
A logical approach to problem solving and the ability to explain your technical choices in writing.
Experience working with data visualization or displaying tables and grids.
Comfort working in a fully remote setup that requires clear, written communication.
An interest in learning how financial models and industrial networks operate.
Willingness to act as a challenger, finding potential flaws in a peer's work to ensure higher quality.
How we work
We operate without a traditional office or fixed meeting schedule. Because we are fully remote, we rely on written clarity to move projects forward. Every task is an opportunity for deep focus. When you are assigned to a file for the Italian telecommunications client, you will have the time to understand the network data before you begin writing code. We do not value speed for the sake of speed: we value accuracy and the ability to stand behind the work we deliver. The builder and challenger dynamic means you will always have someone checking your work, just as you will eventually check theirs.
What the role offers
This is a permanent, full time position that is entirely remote. We provide a workplace where you can focus on technical growth without the distractions of middle management or excessive meetings. You will work directly with veterans who value intellectual honesty and precise work. The position is paid, and the pay is competitive for the role and the current market. By joining a small workshop, you will see the immediate results of your code as it is used to rebuild significant business artifacts. You will have the autonomy to manage your time and the resources to learn how frontend engineering supports high level business analysis.
Mosaic Conseil remains dedicated to the evidence found on the floor of the business. We believe that building small, high quality teams leads to better outcomes for our clients and a better environment for our builders. We look forward to seeing how your technical curiosity can help us rebuild the artifacts that drive large scale networks.
