Arc Automation Engineer / GIS Platform Engineer

About the job Administer, configure, maintain, and support Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and ArcGIS Pro, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Develop and maintain automation solutions using ArcGIS API for Python, Python scripting, and PowerShell to streamline administration, monitoring, and operational tasks. Design and implement automated processes for ArcGIS Enterprise patch discovery, security patch deployment, version upgrades, and environment health validation. Build and support silent installation, configuration, and patching frameworks for ArcGIS Pro to enable standardized enterprise-wide deployments. Develop automation for user governance and identity management, including inactive and orphaned account detection, external user compliance, role validation, and periodic access reviews. Create automated dashboards and reports for license utilization, user types, subscription consumption, and compliance metrics, enabling proactive capacity planning and governance. Automate the content lifecycle management process, including dependency analysis, duplicate content identification, cleanup, archival, and promotion of GIS content across Development, QA, and Production environments. Design and develop integrations between ArcGIS Enterprise and enterprise platforms using REST APIs, Python, and automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency and data synchronization. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and adherence to organizational security standards. Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable automation solutions and continuously improve platform operations. Document automation workflows, operational procedures, deployment standards, and governance best practices to support enterprise GIS operations.
