Application (Sales) Engineer

Accountabilities: Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, partnering with customers to understand operational needs and develop customized application solutions. Collaborate with commercial teams to prepare technical proposals, system layouts, cost analyses, ROI assessments, and presentations that support business development activities. Lead customer application projects from concept through deployment, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and successful system integration. Coordinate with engineering, product management, and external stakeholders to define project scope, align requirements, and drive execution across cross-functional teams. Contribute innovative concepts and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer value, support digital transformation efforts, and strengthen competitive differentiation. Monitor and report on key business performance indicators, including sales conversion rates, pipeline growth, revenue performance, customer satisfaction metrics, and technical validation success. Support product enhancement initiatives by providing market insights, customer feedback, and recommendations for new product introductions and application optimization. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and customer-specific technical requirements throughout project implementation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, combined with a strong commercial or sales background. Minimum of 5 years of experience in application engineering, industrial automation, manufacturing, or related technical environments. Strong ability to understand customer challenges and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Experience working with logistics systems, automation technologies, and system integration processes. Knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP experience considered a strong advantage. Familiarity with industry compliance standards, including CE and UL-related requirements. Excellent project management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Commercially driven mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
