Accountabilities: The Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and evolving infrastructure environments, ensuring operational excellence, availability, and performance. The main responsibilities include: Administering and supporting VMware virtualization environments. Managing Red Hat Linux servers in high-availability environments. Monitoring, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure incidents and technical issues. Performing performance analysis, optimization, and tuning of virtualized environments and Linux servers. Managing VMware clusters, including Storage, vMotion, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and High Availability (HA). Supporting server hardware infrastructure activities, including firmware and BIOS updates. Automating operational activities using tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, and Bash scripting. Managing configurations, automation processes, and infrastructure inventory through platforms such as Satellite and Puppet. Contributing to infrastructure improvements focused on reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infrastructure operations, virtualization technologies, and Linux administration, with the ability to troubleshoot complex environments and implement improvements. Required qualifications and skills include: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, combined with a postgraduate qualification in technology. Professional experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environments. Experience administering and supporting VMware virtualization platforms. Experience managing Red Hat Linux servers. Knowledge of VMware vSphere, vMotion, DRS, High Availability, Lifecycle Manager, Storage, Single Sign-On, and Active Directory integration. Experience performing performance analysis, tuning, and troubleshooting in Linux and VMware environments. Knowledge of virtualization hardware architecture, server management, and BIOS/firmware update processes. Required certification: at least one of the following certifications: VCP-DCV (VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization) or higher. RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or higher. Desirable: ITIL Foundation v4 certification or equivalent training. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
