AI Platform Engineer

About the job We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to join a team focused on building secure, enterprise-grade AI platforms and developer tooling. You will work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, backend engineering, identity management, LLM platforms, and DevOps, enabling the development and operation of AI-powered applications at scale. Work Model: Remote and need to be living in Portugal Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure AI platform infrastructure on AWS. Build and maintain AI gateways, APIs, SDKs, and shared platform services. Develop backend services using Python. Implement OAuth/OIDC authentication, token exchange (OBO), and enterprise identity integrations. Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Docker, ECS/Fargate, and Application Load Balancers. Integrate AI services, including Amazon Bedrock and enterprise LLM platforms. Develop integrations with Snowflake and enterprise data platforms. Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, and observability solutions using CloudWatch. Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and production readiness. Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver reusable AI platform capabilities. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong development experience with Python. Expert knowledge of AWS, including ECS/Fargate, IAM, ALB, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, and ECR. Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Experience building REST APIs and backend services. Experience working with Docker and containerized applications. Strong CI/CD experience, preferably with GitLab. Experience implementing OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and enterprise authentication solutions. Knowledge of cloud automation, monitoring, logging, and production operations. Experience with Snowflake and enterprise data platforms. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of AI/LLM platforms, including Amazon Bedrock, is highly valued. Experience with Data Science, SQL, and MLOps practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
