About this role
As a Principal Software Engineer and Product Architect, you will work directly with the CTO to build GenAI and agentic workflows on top of proprietary datasets. The role is a highly hands-on builder role focused on designing systems from scratch and bringing AI-powered ideas into production. You will design and ship end-to-end features across backend and frontend systems, and own growth and engagement systems. The technical environment involves a most likely a fast-moving, founding-level impact on new AI initiatives. The tech stack includes Python, Django, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, and OpenAI/LLMs. You will help define platform architecture and technical direction.

$280K–$350K (Base + Bonus) + Equity

What You'll Do
- Build GenAI and agentic workflows on top of proprietary datasets
- Design and ship end-to-end features across backend and frontend systems
- Develop AI-driven solutions for search, personalization, and recommendations
- Own growth and engagement systems, including:
- Email delivery
- User targeting
- Experimentation platforms
- Prototype new ideas, test with real users, and iterate rapidly
- Help define platform architecture and technical direction

What They're Looking For
- 6–10+ years of software engineering experience (Staff/Principal caliber)
- Strong Python backend and React frontend experience
- Experience building and scaling systems on AWS
- Exposure to AI, LLMs, or data-driven products
- A true builder mindset — hands-on, fast-moving, and comfortable with ambiguity
