About this role
The role involves implementing, operating, and further developing cloud services based on OpenStack as part of the CLOUD4EUROPE strategy. Responsibilities include the development and operation of public and private cloud platforms using OpenStack, conducting problem and failure analysis, and developing sustainable solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for operating Ceph-based storage clusters with cephadm, orchestrating services in the infrastructure using Ansible with Kolla-Container as the basis for OpenStack deployment. Participation in on-call duty is also required. The role requires strong experience in Linux and OpenStack, with specific knowledge of OpenStack services like Keystone, Glance, Cinder, Nova, Neutron, Octavia, Designate, Heat, Swift, Barbican, Manila, and Masakari. Experience with Linux distributions, networking technologies like BGP, DNS, NTP, Load Balancing, and Overlay Networks with OVS or OVN is essential. The candidate should also have expertise in container technologies like Docker or Podman, SQL databases, Ceph with cephadm and RGW, and Ansible for configuration management and automation. Familiarity with tools such as Traefik, Consul, RabbitMQ, Galera, memcached, Redis, PowerDNS, unbound, chrony, Fluentd/Fluentbit, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Elasticsearch, and Kibana is preferred.
