About this role

The Robotics Systems Architect will define and lead the architecture of complex robotics systems across multiple domains, including mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, and autonomous platforms. The role involves designing scalable integration frameworks for robotics systems with cloud platforms and enterprise ecosystems, leading end-to-end delivery from prototyping to production-ready systems, and establishing architectural standards and best practices. The individual will also evaluate and evolve technologies within the robotics stack, drive research into emerging trends, and architect key components such as perception, SLAM, planning, control, and multi-robot coordination systems. They will ensure seamless integration of hardware and software, oversee simulation and validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals. The role also includes engaging with clients through workshops, technical discussions, and architecture presentations.

About the job About The Role In this role, you will define and lead the architecture of complex robotics systems across multiple domains, including mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, and autonomous platforms. Working within SoftServe’s Robotics Group, you will operate at the intersection of system architecture, engineering delivery, and client collaboration, shaping scalable robotics solutions and driving technical excellence across projects and teams. Responsibilities Define and own the technical architecture for complex robotics solutions across domains (mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, AMRs) Design scalable, reusable integration frameworks connecting robotics systems with cloud platforms and enterprise ecosystems Lead end-to-end delivery: from prototyping and PoCs to production-ready systems Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices across robotics teams Evaluate, select, and evolve technologies, tools, and platforms within the robotics stack Drive research in emerging robotics trends and translate insights into practical architectural decisions Architect perception, SLAM, planning, control, and multi-robot coordination systems Ensure integration of hardware and software, including sensors, actuators, real-time systems, and electromechanical components Oversee simulation and validation using tools such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI, cloud, embedded, product) to align technical solutions with business goals Engage with clients through workshops, technical discussions, and architecture presentations (pre-sales and delivery) Requirements Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field Proven experience in robotics system architecture and end-to-end solution design Expert proficiency in C++ and/or Python, building production-grade robotics software Strong experience with ROS2, including defining standards and best practices Hands-on experience across robotics domains (mobile robots, arms, drones, autonomous systems) Deep knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion (LiDAR, IMU, vision, radar, GPS), localization, mapping, and motion planning (e.g., MoveIt2) Experience with simulation environments (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar) Strong background in control systems, real-time computing, and hardware-software co-design Familiarity with cloud and IoT ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including deployment pipelines Knowledge of industrial/embedded ecosystems (ARM, STM32, RTOS, PLC, SCADA) Experience in multi-robot and multi-vendor integration environments Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset with solid mathematical foundations Excellent communication skills, including presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders Proven experience in technical pre-sales (solution design, workshops, client engagement) Leadership experience, mentoring engineers and guiding technical direction SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
