About this role
The Platform Engineer will work on improving security, resiliency, and scalability of complex systems that operate at global scale. The role involves collaborating with passionate engineers to enhance platform infrastructure, define best practices for future-proof services, and continuously improve and automate team workflows. The platform is built using Go for backend services, multiple data stores including Redis, DynamoDB, CockroachDB, and Postgres, with a multi-region AWS infrastructure and multiple Kubernetes (EKS) clusters per region. Envoy edge proxies and Terraform are used for infrastructure as code and monitoring with Datadog.

🚀 Platform Engineer – Fintech - 12 month contract - Must be based in Europe - Remote

🔧 The Platform
- Backend services written in Go
- Multiple data stores: Redis, DynamoDB, CockroachDB, Postgres
- Multi-region AWS infrastructure
- Multiple Kubernetes (EKS) clusters per region
- Envoy edge proxies with global routing
- Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Datadog for monitoring and alerting
👤 About You
You have experience with:
- AWS and core cloud services
- Running and managing Kubernetes in production
- Service meshes, ideally Istio & Envoy
- Writing production code (any language)
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Managing SQL & NoSQL databases and distributed caches
- Writing clean, modular, and well-tested Terraform
