Platform Engineer

About the job We are working with a fast-growing enterprise software business with a strong engineering culture and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. They have recently formed a dedicated Platform Engineering Group, and this is an opportunity to join it at the ground floor. The Role Design and build internal tooling, templates, and scaffolding for engineering teams. Build and maintain robust, fast, and production-ready CI/CD pipelines. Treat developer experience as a product, gathering feedback and iterating on solutions. Own test architecture, defining and embedding standards for various testing types. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to shape the platform engineering function. What You'll Need Strong software engineering skills with depth in at least one language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Typescript, Go). Solid hands-on experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines and running containerised workloads in production. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation/CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi). A track record of building tooling or automation that other engineers rely on daily.
