Platform Engineer

About the job We're working with a fast-growing, enterprise-level software company with over 500 staff, renowned for its strong engineering culture and commitment to best practices. This organisation is establishing a new Platform Engineering Group, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of their software development. The Role Design and build internal tooling, templates, and scaffolding to streamline engineering workflows. Develop and maintain robust, fast, and production-ready CI/CD pipelines. Advocate for developer experience, gathering feedback and iterating on solutions. Own test architecture, defining and embedding standards for various testing types across the platform. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to drive the direction of platform engineering. What You'll Need Strong software engineering skills with depth in at least one language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Typescript, Go). Solid experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines and running containerised workloads in production. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation/CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi. A track record of building and automating tools that other engineers rely on.
