About the job We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Oversee the launch of a new European Sovereign Cloud initiative in 2025. • Collaborate with global teams to shape the evolution of cloud services and technology. • Enhance the daily operations of cloud services, focusing on availability, reliability, and performance. • Contribute to the development and testing of automation scripts to improve workflows. • Participate in occasional on-call rotations to resolve incidents outside of standard hours. • Educate service teams on the complexities of the European Sovereign Cloud. What You'll Need • Fluency in written and spoken English. • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related IT discipline, or equivalent industry experience. • Experience or knowledge in scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby) or software development (Java, TypeScript, etc.), along with Linux and networking fundamentals. • Experience operating high-availability, distributed software applications and performance tuning. • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., CDK, CloudFormation, Ansible). • EU member state nationality and residency within the EU.
